The New Crumlin Hospital Group represents parents, guardians, and other interested adults from all parts of the country who are lobbying for the complete and urgent redevelopment of Our Lady’s Hospital for Sick Children in Crumlin (OLHSC), Dublin.
Our Mission
The mission of the New Crumlin Hospital Group is to have Our Lady’s Hospital for Sick Children Crumlin completely redeveloped and recognised as a Centre for Excellence in Tertiary Paediatric Care by 2009.

November 2007
The New Crumlin Hospital Group releases a public statement voicing its backing of the final document from RKW and urged all stakeholders to act speedily to give Ireland the childrens hospital it deserves.
October 2007
The final report from RKW is released to the public.The group request Dr Pollock to examine the briefing document to assertain whether the proposed hospital, on the proposed site, can provide the quality of care expected of an international standard of excellence without compromise. His advice is strongly in favour.
June 2007
The New Crumlin Hospital Group participated in the presentation by RKW of the high level framework briefing document. It retained the services of the eminent expert in strategic medical planning, Dr Ronnie Pollock. Dr Pollock and the New Crumlin Hospital Group met with members of the board of Crumlin hospital board to hear their reservations to the plan for the new hospital.
May 2007
The New Crumlin Hospital Group was informed that the Minister is appointing the board of the new paediatric hospital under the chair of Philip Lynch.
April 2007
The New Crumlin Hospital Group held its AGM. The following menbers were elected: Louis Roden as chairman, Mike Foley as Treasurer and Mary Shanahan as Secretary.
18th February 2005
The New Crumlin Hospital Group escorted the Taniste, Mary Harney and the Archbishop Dr. Diarmuid Martin on a tour of the hospital wards where they saw first hand the urgent need for a new facility.
7th February 2005
The New Crumlin Hospital Group met with the Taniste Mary Harney who undertook to make the necessary decisions by the end of March 2005 to redevelop the hospital.
26th October 2004
The New Crumlin Hospital Group met with Dr Diarmuid Martin, Archbishop of Dublin, who confirmed that he is fully committed to the complete redevelopment of the hospital.
18th October 2004
The New Crumlin Hospital Group attended a presentation of the Outline Development Control Plan for the complete redevelopment of the hospital.

Overwhelming public support for more Government funding for Crumlin Hospital: Results of a nationwide opinion poll show that 8 in 10 adults (78%) believe that Our Lady’s Hospital for Sick Children, Crumlin, needs more Government funding.
